Meet Our Acupuncturist

Tamar Feldman, L.Ac., DACM, Dipl. Ac.

Hi! I'm Tamar, licensed acupuncturist and owner of Artemisia Acupuncture at The Healing House. As a Rochester native, I am so proud to be able to establish an acupuncture practice here at home, and serve this lovely community.

I graduated from Binghamton University in 2019 with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. I then attended Pacific College of Health and Science in Manhattan, where I studied acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, earning my Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine in December of 2023 and my Doctorate of Acupuncture with Chinese Herbal Medicine Specialization in August of 2024.

About Artemisia Acupuncture

Artemisia Acupuncture was named after the Artemisia vulgaris plant, more commonly known as Mugwort. It is a frequently used medicinal herb in acupuncture and Chinese medicine, both internally and externally.

Internally, it is used in herbal formulas to regulate menstruation, stop irregular bleeding, warm the channels and disperse cold, alleviate pain, and help with fertility. Externally, it is used in a treatment called moxibustion, in which the dried Mugwort herb is burned at or near acupuncture points on the body to bring warmth, strength, and circulation to that area.
